2007 Press Coverage 2007 Show Highlights Alternative Fuel Concept Cars

Mercedes

2008 marks the debut of the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the CLK63 AMG Black Series Coupe. The C-Class is set to begin arriving at Mercedes-Benz dealerships throughout the U.S. this August.

The next-generation 2008 C-Class sedan was inspired by the legendary AMG performance division and comes with a greater emphasis on driving dynamics, comfort and safety. The 2008 C-Class will be launched in three variants: the C300 Sport and C300 Luxury, each powered by a 3.0-liter V6 that produces 228-horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque; and the C350 which is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 268-horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

Also making its 2008 debut is the CLK63 AMG Black Series Coupe. This machine represents the synergy of racecar performance and roadcar driveability. Designed after the official Formula 1 Safety Car, it promises a dramatic entrance with ground-hugging posture, athletic flared fenders, and ultra-light carbon fiber reinforced plastic rear apron.
